In order to protect the intellectual property rights of the artists, online access beyond Cornell net-ID users is not possible. The Archive is available to the public for consultation and on-site access in Rare and Manuscript Collections Reading Room. Digital video and artistic materials, artist books and drawings, manuscripts, and monographs can be requested for consultation in the Elizabeth Reed Rare Book and Manuscript Reading Room during reading room hours.

Many historical media materials in the Goldsen Archive contain dated software and platforms that may no longer be readily compatible with available screening devices and computers.

We recommend that patrons rely on this website and the Cornell University Library Catalog to prepare lists of preferred viewing materials prior to visiting the Archive. Materials can be accessed in the catalog either via individual author and title searches or keyword searches using author names. Artists and titles of online internet art listed in the Goldsen site are not available in the Cornell University Library Catalog and may no longer be accessible online because of the obsolescence of software used for their creation.

Please consult the reading room hours for Kroch-Rare and Manuscript Collections.
