Rose Goldsen Archive of New Media Art

Media Materials

The Electronic Media and Film Program (EMF) collection contains media materials that celebrate the works of independent artists; these materials are stored in floppy disks, 16mm film, video cassettes (U-matic, VHS), audio cassettes, CDs, and DVDs.

This series contains a complete video/audio recording of two featured events: The Show the Right Thing Conference (1989) and Set in Motion: The New Work State Council on the Arts Celebrates 30 Years of Independents (1994). It also contains artworks (films, CD-roms, website demos, radio art recordings, etc.) by individual artists.

The majority of EMF holdings in video/audio recordings are preserved separately by the New York Public Library.
