Rose Goldsen Archive of New Media Art

Administrative Files

The Electronic Media and Film Program (EMF) collection holds administrative files of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). These documents are usually program proposals, application forms, and distribution reports, conference notes and memos, correspondence, and questionnaires, etc. The correspondence between media arts organizations and the NYSCA is often accompanied by relevant publicity materials (flyers, posters, postcards, news clippings, etc.). Notable organizations include New York Film Festival, Dance Theater Workshop, Experimental Television Center, Electronic Arts Intermix, New Community Cinema, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the National Center for Film and Video Preservation (NCFVP), Bay Area Video Coalition, among many others.

In addition, two sets of artists files are featured in this series — (1) Set in Motion Festival, a week-long festival that consists of 59 films and tapes at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater, and (2) Electronic Media and Film Program: Grant Applicants and Award Winners 2002-2003.
